At the April 22 Board meeting, the administration presented to the Board a three-year Operational Plan recommendation which will be considered for approval at the May 13 Board meeting scheduled for Wilson School at 6:00 p.m. Information on the plan has been posted on the district home page. The plan includes a recommendation to expand Hamilton School, close Garfield and Ericsson Schools as attendance centers, and repurpose Ericsson School as a community center. This plan will include redistricting, which will impact Lincoln-Irving School as well. Click here to access specific details of the plan.

Welcome to Ericsson School
Located in the West End of Moline, its predominantly Hispanic population is one that shares a rich culture and language, Spanish. Home of the first transitional bilingual education program in Moline, the Ericsson staff works cooperatively to ensure that all students transition into English with ease and effectively. We, at Ericsson, believe in taking responsibility for our learning, behavior, school and community. It is this responsibility pledge, said aloud every morning, that strengthens the staff and students both academically and socially. Ericsson Elementary School provides a safe, friendly environment where students receive a quality education. We believe in continuous improvement and are preparing students to be successful, productive citizens of the 21st Century.

Bienvenidos a la Escuela Ericsson
Ericsson es una escuela de PreKinder – 5 grado con 172 estudiantes. Localizada en el oeste de Moline, la población predominante Hispana comparte una cultura rica, y lenguaje, Español. El primer programa transitorio bilingüe de Moline empezó en la Escuela Ericsson. Las maestras trabajan cooperativamente para asegurar que los estudiantes aprendan el ingles con calma y efectivamente. Nosotros, en la Escuela Ericsson, creemos en tomar responsabilidad por nuestro estudio, comportamiento, escuela, y comunidad. Es esta responsabilidad, dicha a voz alta cada mañana, que da fuerza a las maestras y estudiantes académicamente y socialmente. La Escuela Ericsson provee un ambiente seguro, y amistoso donde estudiantes reciben una educación de buena calidad. Nosotros creemos en seguir mejorando, preparando a los estudiantes para ser ciudadanos productivos y éxitos en el futuro. |
